I don't think the trauma effects me, but I am angry that such an important part of me and so critical to sensation was removed. I told my mother as such and she apologized, but said that it was standard at the time and she had no recollection of being consulted.

It's an amputation, which can lead to phantom pain for boys and girls for a lifetime. It's cruel and abusive, and it needs to be outlawed as a human rights violation.
