DAY #2 of the BPD-Inside Teen Academy! This morning the class got a lesson on crime scene investigation and then processed their own (fake) crime scene. In addition, they spent some time dusting for fingerprints in the CSI lab. 🔍

There will be lane closures on the Southbound lanes of Lowell Blvd starting on Tuesday, June 6 until Friday, June 9 (weather permitting) due to upcoming asphalt patching warranty work. A police officer will be on-site, along with flaggers, to provide traffic control.

Kicked off the 2023 BPD-Inside Teen Academy today with a great group of local students who will spend this week at the police department learning about the various functions of the BPD including SWAT, Patrol, CSI, K-9, Investigations, Detention, Traffic and MORE.

NEW INFO: The suspect who ran from the scene of a car crash at E. Midway Blvd and Zuni St this morning was driving a stolen vehicle out of Northglenn. Despite an extensive search of the Willow Run Neighborhood, the man was not located. The investigation continues.

The BPD's Animal Services Unit responded to an interesting call last week. A Chihuahua chased a rabbit into a storm drain and got stuck! ASOs had to call in assistance from 's Public Works & Utility Services to lift the heavy grate. The little guy was happy to be free!

Officers set up a perimeter and searched the area, including one home, with the help of a K9 Unit. Unfortunately the suspect was not located. The investigation is ongoing, including reviewing surveillance video. Please call 303.438.6400 if you have any additional info.

Police activity in the Willow Park Neighborhood, near 126th Ave. A man involved in a car crash with another vehicle at Zuni and 128th ran from the scene. Officers searching the area. Suspect is in his 20's, white or Hispanic with black curly hair.

The two suspects caught on camera burglarizing a home in Northmoor on May 13 have been taken into custody. The men stole 2 bikes valued at over $1,600 & were riding e-bikes around the neighborhood for hours prior to the theft. Thanks to anyone who provided information and tips!

(2/2) The men stole 2 bikes valued at $1,600. The 1st suspect is a hispanic male w/ a heavyset build. The 2nd suspect is a white male w/ a medium build & a "sandy" colored beard. Both were riding ebikes around before the theft. Anyone with info call Sgt Fessenden at 303.438.6498.

(1/2) Do you recognize these suspects? The BPD is asking the community for help identifying 2 men caught on camera burglarizing a home over the weekend. The burglary happened on Saturday around 6:30 pm at a home in the 1100 block of Aspen Street in the Northmoor Neighborhood.
