Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. #myNYPD in Interceptor ticketing cyclists in Manhattan Bridge. Just crazy.

@BrooklynSpoke what for? I didn't see any enforcement on Bklyn Bridge or its approaches.

@buttermilk1 Two ppl at end of bridge told me they were stopped and asked if they had bells.

@BrooklynSpoke Wow. That's something. I was reprimanded by a pedestrian for getting too close to a father with a stroller, but that was it.

@buttermilk1 I don't know if it was a dedicated sting or just one cop who took the opportunity. Sounds like the latter.

@BrooklynSpoke And still I never see cops doing anything about people salmoning up Court Street and creating all sorts of hazard.

@buttermilk1 Yeah. Of all the bad behavior that ought to be ticketed, that's toward the top of my list.

@brianvan I was told a few people were stopped for not having bells. I believe it was one-off. Random cop maybe seizing an opportunity.

@BrooklynSpoke one off or not, that is insane. Should be punished, not rewarded for quota-meeting

@BrooklynSpoke we need to reanimate Lincoln or Churchill to become mayor and clean up the rank-and-file. (Not even Bloomberg could!)

@jasongay A few people told me they were stopped to see if they had bells. Not sure if it's a dedicated sting or just opportunity.

@BrooklynSpoke has @BilldeBlasio said anything about the weekend's cyclist murder yet or is he too busy driving to the Y?
