#OHareAirport T5 two days later. A traveler returning from Amsterdam took these photos. She was questioned about hotspot travel, temp was taken, told to self-record temp for 2 weeks.#COVID19#coronavirus@fly2ohare#oharepic.twitter.com/N56nHGmAwu

So basically trump banned travel to and from Europe so every single person in Europe who needed to get home to the United States got on the very next plane and they are now all jammed together at various airports having just arrived.
-
Yes, also they're only allowed to fly into 13 airports.

What a horrible situation at the O’Hare airport. The whole purpose of enhanced screening is to protect us. But by creating this huge bottleneck, it is doing the exact opposite and endangering all of us. I’d call it ironic if it wasn’t so tragic and devastating.

We need to use common sense and flexibility when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic. Strictly adhering to bureaucracy to create even more danger for everyone is unacceptable. This may go down in history as an epic failure as bad quarantining people on a cruise ship in Yokohama.

Thank you for yr patience. Customs processing is taking longer than usual inside the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) facility bc of enhanced
#COVID19 screening for passengers coming from Europe. We’ve strongly encouraged our federal partners to increase staffing to meet demand. -
The point isn’t the wait. The point is the density of that crowd. You need to spread people apart. Put them in different parts of the airport. Don’t let so many be so close together. And let the elderly through first.
