    how to spend $140K on a middle-class life: $42K income taxes $36K housing costs $15K daycare fees 1 child $10K avg cost 1 car $8K groceries $5K max TFSA $2.5K RESP $5K clothing 2x $5K vacations you have $6,500 left. Go to a few restaurants, don't spend too much on Xmas.

        As someone who has lived on under 20k a year before, these numbers look incredibly high to me I admit. I wish more people had access to some of this, though.

        lmao this isn't my budget however, average cost of car ownership is $9,500 https://www.moneyaftergraduation.com/it-isnt-cheaper-to-live-in-the-suburbs/ … if you think that seems high, it's because 2/3's of Canadians underestimate their car ownership costs by $4,000+. Have a great day.
