Not a MS fan, but Zemlin has to be sort of a diplomat, balancing the interests of (competing) tech giants like MS, Samsung and Intel plus the "general good" of Linux as a whole. Also, it's not like MS bought the Linux kernel. GitHub is nice but can be replaced.
