Hell, let us all be lucky enough to be that sharp and that productive at 80.

Absolutely an incredibly accomplished public servant. I still don't know how to decypher what he was saying though. He seemed confused?
-
I think the point he was trying to make is how could Hillary be exonerated and case closed if the Russian investigation is still ongoing.
-
…And he was missing the point that those are related but ultimately separate issues.
-
They're really not even related, though - the HRC investigation was re: the private server/email issue, not Russian election meddling.
-
That's like saying you're troubled that Trump is still under investigation even though apples don't own dishwashers.
-
Perhaps it's a good thing he brought it up, because we would never have thought to make that distinction clear for everybody.
-
Whoa whoa whoa, let's not skip past this whole apples and dishwashers thing. Do the apples have an email server?

I agree. I'm worried he's having cognitive issues, which in a U.S. Senator is dangerous for him and for us as a nation.
-
I think that is an utterly fair concern.

Yeah, but he's still a working public servant. He needs to be able to do his job. At that age, my dad opted to stop driving.
-
And see? You just made that utterly fair and reasonable critique without making crude, ageist insults.

I agree.

Agree w/ poking fun part. But are you OK with his degree of confusion? It raises concerns about his capacity.
-
I think there's a respectful way to have that conversation.
-
What has McCain done in the last 10 years that deserves any respect?

@SenJohnMcCain spent his 70th birthday w/Paul Manafort on the yacht of Russian oligarch Deripaska.#ComeyHearings http://slate.com/articles/news_ … -
Doesn't change my opinion that he was confused, and couldn't follow his own line of questioning, and mixed up words.
-
And all that is an absolutely fair critique. I was watching and cringing.
-
It saddens me, truth be told. Same guy who stopped a woman at his town hall from making false & (in her mind) derogatory comments re: Obama.
