    3D-printed bomblets filled with ballbearings dropped from commercial drones onto Ukraine soldiers by Russian-backed-separatists in the Donbas.

    Russian forces in eastern Ukraine have dropped 3D printed bomblets from UAVs on Ukrainian positions. The bomblets contained 500 g of plastic explosives and steel ball bearings.

    I’m sure the investigation is excellent but I admit I am most interested in how Ben has managed to be offline since May.

    I have been offline since May, to finish this two-year hunt for the highest-ranking Syrian war criminal known to be in Europe. It is by far the hardest project I've ever taken on.

    This is a good point made by and others: the strike occurred in the capital, where reporters arrived the same day with immediate access to family. So many strikes occur in remote areas, with strike details locked behind a two sentence Pentagon press release

    Between this report and the report, the Pentagon has some serious explaining to do. Now consider how many strikes go unexamined by Western media.

    Someone tell the general he just said the quiet part out loud.

    We’ll see about the “final act” part. But yes, both sad and par for the course. General Milley summed it up better than he probably meant to when he said “We went through the same level of rigor that we've done for years and we took a strike.”

    We need as much urgency in evacuating at-risk Afghans now as we did when the US military op was front page news.
