  I met him in the late 70's at a funky bar in Hollywood to see a new, unknown group called the Gogo's. There were maybe 15 people there. Super cool man, friendly and funny.

  I remember Carl playing Misirlou at the morning concert you guys gave at Bellflower High School. We used to go to see Dick at the Rendezvous in Balboa and later at Harmony Park in Anaheim.
