If this is true, then $BIDU had the right idea of investing heavily in #AI. Not only is Baidu the leading search engine in China, but it's also one of the leading AI firms and now plans to come up with its own version of #ChatGPT in just a few months.

I'm sorry. But with a $1.9 TRILLION a year budget, the Pentagon (DoD) isn't in a position to just say "We're not buying it." American taxpayers give them this much money to know with certainty what comes into US airspace. Period.

If a wayward balloon is enough to make the US Secretary of State cancel a potentially crucial meeting with China to resolve standing differences & avoid potential armed conflict, it speaks very poorly of how serious he is about doing his job.

You cannot decide to NOT shoot down a suspected surveillance balloon from another country and then claim it is in fact most likely from another country. Shoot the damn thing down and show everyone what it is and where it came from. People aren’t stupid.

The $USD was long overdue for a reprieve from its historic fall from ATH. This kind of volatility in the currency markets doesn't serve anyone well other than speculators. The Fed needs to calm the markets by staying the course. They got us into this mess in the 1st place. $DXY

If you think this massive surge in nonfarm payrolls is going to change the trajectory of the Fed from easing off its tightening cycle, you'll likely be disappointed. Corp results telling us demand is weak & will get weaker. Plus new CPI calculation will not justify bigger hikes.
