Maybe because the electronics is cheap as dirt and we constantly want new toys...

Love to see conversations surrounding that partner be more open and detailed. I think people understand user centric sensors via the buzz words on the box— not many understand the actual practical uses and impact on our day to day outside of the many arbitrary demonstrations.

I love the notion of a mentor To get expert level skills in the past, you needed a journeyman/master relation. Expert level, individual, immersive, and timely feedback over years Available to a very few before, wearables allow that kind of instruction for a lot of people/skills

Counter: a computer that understands you can also play the role of the old friend who enables bad habits and prevents self-improvement. It knows what you want, can give it to you fast, and likely doesn't care if you stay in your own little echo chamber of harmful validation.

I would argue, that has nothing to do with the computer...you’re talking about the specifics of the application I would also say that many current social media communities already are echo chambers. We all need to be more aware of information’s effect on us

In that case it's a partner that tells her best friends everything that happens in your relationship. And her friends then use that information to constantly bombard you with tips for improving yourself or behaving better or simply just random shit...and then tell her parents.
