"We want to make sure it doesn't come into the review whether Alexa works good or not," Which is so not the case with Siri...

Apple needs an SVP of cloud who would own Siri and all their ML/AI efforts. Cue is not the guy to make that happen and Federighi has enough on his plate with iOS/macOS/watchOS.

Siri should not part of Apple's could division. It should be part of their OS division. I have more confidence that Siri will be better under Federighi, than it was under Cue.

Listening to this Vector podcast I’m worried that current Apple leadership is botching it with Siri/voice.http://vector.libsyn.com/058-why-siri-needs-to-be-a-platform-with-brian-roemmele …

Agreed, concerning is an understatement. Why doesn’t Apple hire Brian Roemmele and actually listen to these insights?
@BrianRoemmele It’s a shame about Viv. But seriously, what are Amazons 12,000 Alexa employees really doing?2 replies 2 retweets 2 likes -
Frank, thank you sir. I would be quite honored to be a part of Apple in any way.

It’s sad though Brian, after hearing your podcast on Vector, I fear the situation is hopeless and inevitable. Unless if voice assistant AI becomes commoditized and open by something like OpenAI... would google or amzn trade exclusivity to be ubiquitous cross platform?

Frank, I hear ya. I see a few paths for Apple and other companies through this. Quite a bit of it is philosophical and reinventing what Apple will be in the future.
