Isn’t it already super Super common for prime members to order one item at a time? Amazon isn’t a discovery platform

Jason, indeed I agree. You know the same sort of thinking was leveled on the 1-click concept: “People will actually end up buying less”. The bottom line is clear, Voice is selling much more products for Amazon and every brand needs to understand it.

It’s really not clear at all. Fewer than one in ten users have ever bought an item. Very very few of them ever try again.

He can have 10,000 people working on it and it be a data capture, streaming platform and the OS between devices . It’s a long term play for a Personal assistant style mechanism. We are training data.

Tom, perhaps. Or perhaps the point is to create a new platform with the Personal Assistant as the actual OS.

Yes. That’s what I’m saying. Alexa is a personal assistant OS, reactive voice is a temporary step as it becomes proactive, personalized, predictive and spans all devices. But what the what the echo speaker means for brands now is a whiff

Tom, indeed. I would say if brands do not have a voice strategy today one will be assigned to them by the platforms. Sadly there are perhaps 25 experts on voice strategy and few companies have taken it seriously. Will be a big mistake with 20/20 hindsight.
