That's hopelessly Apple-biased. Command line arrived a long time before the Apple II, and hypertext reached the mass market via the web. 
Jack, indeed. I tilted it to mass market exposure. The command line was sanctioned to a very few for very long. I did use web as hypertext.
CP/M was pretty common from around 1975. Commodore and Tandy systems also started to become pretty common in 1977 ;-)
Jack, Yes! I got my start on a Sinclair ZX80 kit and moved to build software on the Vic 20 & TRS 80. Miss those days dearly.
