Kit, the dating and early pair bonding phase is an mostly exclusively a local 3 ring circles of friends event. iMessage fits this perfectly.

Kit, Indeed. Messaging is about dialogue and dialogue is the future of human/computer interaction. This will matriculate up the age cohorts.

Kit, great question! I think this will continue and expand. We are all growing towards closer personal circles of social interactions.
