I am an ape expert, too. So, there. Don't believe every hype. In this particular case the data and logic is crystal clear (see the papers cited in your thread). If you cant change your priors based on actual data then I fear I cant believe anything you write.

Claudio, I appreciate your experience and expertise. I find it very important not to take the work of an university and a respected published professor and call it bunk. I have never found a circumstance where the an entire university and all the staff as part of some scam.

That's the Appeal to Authority Fallacy, and not Science. Science is not decided or determined by consensus. A single paper can invalidate an unlimited number of studies. This has happened over and over in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Science is not about taking sides either.
