Meet the 65-inch UHD roll-down OLED TV from LG. This is precisely the type of rollable ambient and situational display that will dominate the later 2020s. It is spectacular technology. Wait till you see what Apple does with this! #CES2020 seen here first...pic.twitter.com/RbdJTnitMs

Ashwin, thanks for asking. The cost is not yet established. This is a model talked about in 2019 CES. The new version will be held in a box attached to the ceiling. The possibilities are astonishing.

They already exhibited it at IFA in Berlin last September, where I saw a live demo. Somewhat magical! I found it so hard to believe that I actually investigated the base and shape of the screen to check if it was real or just a trick. 😅

Samsung has fell behind. I just bought a 65’ LG OLED UHD TV + surround sound system and it’s one fo the best investments I’ve had personally. Looking forward to their release dates.

Apparently only affordable by the fabulously wealthy.

That’s a gorgeous view of the ocean. Let me unroll my expensive thin TV to block nature’s beauty!

Now, what I don't get is why there is only a screen on one side. If you put it in the middle of your living room (floor or ceiling) you'd expect to be able to watch from both sides, as long as there is no wall on one side. 😉
