Thanks for sharing Brian! I've been looking for someone to explain the strengths and weaknesses of humans vs. computers. Do you agree with Asimov in this regard?

Stephen, thank you. Indeed I vigorously agree. The human intuition and generalization is our power. Not facts and figures. This is where AI will shine. It is not where humans should be. We are the creatives and likely always will be. We will see uniqueness from AI but not like us

What a great experience that must have been.

Nick, indeed. He would spend so much time with us nerds at the SiFiCons. He would mostly talk about science and technology future. He was one of a kind.

Note how Asamov's premise of AI is Humanistic - he stresses Human imagination and creativity, and the role of AI as specifically robotic and computational. No more. No less. I approve. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic. Was just thinking to reread the foundation series (literally just tweeted about it). I’d love to dive into his nonfiction too.

I'm envious of you! I would have loved to have chatted with him about his robots, empire, and foundation stories!
