It was 1928, inventor Léon Theremin patented a new musical device—the first electronic instrument and the only instrument operated by-not-touching anything. This is the Theremin. Andy, indeed. It is such a beautiful piece. The theremin is one reason I got into voice so many years ago. It made me think just how human a machine could sound.
