What about those who are unable to speak due to a disability?

Robert, Great question. I have been working on a full ASL
#VoiceFirst system in my garage lab for a few years. It uses two cameras and no need for gloves of devices on the hand. In fact you can “talk” faster with ASL then voice. I advocate this to be taught to all students.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -
@BrianRoemmele if thats do you have a broader definition of ‘voice’ that is inclusive of other non mediated human expressions rather than sound? If so do you think another term beside ‘voice first’. seems like a asterisk you already are exploring but I haven’t heard discussed.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
Jaime, Thank you! Indeed. This is part of the “silent voice” aspect of #VoiceFirst I have been researching. I feel strongly that ASL is the language of the future for non audio voice. It is common, easy to learn fast and efficient, It is also inclusive in a magical way.
