Indeed! You should see the modified version. It can be quite surreal when she talks. There is a lot more dialogues some folks run away when we says “HELLO, <Name> how are you today?..” fun times!

How much RAM and ROM? :)

Mikko, thanks for asking. About 4K. It is an astonishing design that pushed limits of all the designers. NASA actually started a voice recognition study because of the accuracy of Julie. TI demonstrated a new system based on this original design.

Something about Julie is tingling about the dark side use of her impressive technology. Was Julie the doll pulled from store shelves due to her being programmed by humans to collect detailed data of the human children playing with her? Or was that a doll of the 1990s?
-
Thanks for asking. Julie is from the 1990s and has no network connection. It was just an amazing test bed for new technologies. It is just astounding it was first in a toy.

The Twilight Zone was way ahead of its time in showing an animated doll like this in a horror story. I present for your consideration "Talking Tina":https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSy8Ko1vSKQ …
