I’m with
@ArgentumStudio on this one. Looks like a sheet of plexiglass with prismatic optical diffusion engraved into the surface. It’s going to give a gaussian blur effect to any object behind it. If you stand back a bit it’s going to effectively **blur you out.** cont.—>1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -
That said, any “invisibility cloak” is effectively an optical illusion. Outside of the realm of wizards, any science based invisibility cloak will—simply put—bend light around a target object, so you’re going to do that with lenses / optics: i.e.: an optical illusion. cont.—>

Something like a nano-scale prismatic diffusion surface could make an effective, non-powered optical cloak, provided the target object is at a sufficient distance behind the surface, and detail does not need to be maintained behind it. cont.—>

They’re playing a different but similar trick with the large sheet in front of the wall with the chair rail. Do you know the “linear blur” filter in Photoshop? They’re effectively apply that “filter” with hardware (optics). So it is a horizontal diffusion screen. cont.—>

The holy grail is the “Predator Suit,” with a shroud covered in nano-cameras and nano-displays, and the display on any given side is always showing the view from the camera on the opposite side, but would need a lenticular effect as well, that changed based on viewer perspective.

Folks, I hear ya. The thing about this it also bend all frequencies from IR to microwave to ultraviolet. All frequencies including heat signature and radar. This is just version one attached to an off the shelf crowd control shield.
