This 1967 educational film strip was deemed “impossible” and “fantastical” by may observers at the time. With the input from scientists at Bell Labs it painted a future of 2020. It predicted elements of the technologies precisely. From e-commerce to social networks—in 1967:pic.twitter.com/ToOsJhZYYB

Yes, the voice of the future is the voice of Casey Kasem. Who else to better help present 2020 to 1967? With Norville "Shaggy" Rogers and Scooby-Doo and the man who taught the world to count backwards, the circle is now complete. It is sort of a mystery—solved. https://twitter.com/BrianRoemmele/status/1192635726648578050 … pic.twitter.com/tKOMwH56Dw

Many folks ask me: “what will the next 50 years look like?”. I know precisely, it is what I am building #TheIntelligenceAmpilifier #YourWisdomKeeper as part of #TheLastInterface in my garage. This is the basis of the next 50 years. The next 50 years the computer disappears.

        1. Very cool that they foresaw that Cherry MX mechanical keyboards were our destiny. 2. That’s not a filmstrip. That’s a film. Film strips were sequences of stills. …https://pnubsehistedtech-projectedmedia.weebly.com/filmstrips-projector--parts-and-guidelines-in-using-the-various-projected-media.html …

Nathan, indeed. As the head of my AV club at high school I had to play 1000s of these. The teaching staff would call anything I played that was not VCR a film strip it stuck with me. They also called sneakers tennis shoes!?

what the folks in the so called Hitech places of Facebook etc do is nothin but innovate upon fundamental research & development done 50 plus yrs ago. We havent invented anything new in the last 40 yrs ever. Everything is bout making it cheaper/faster/smaller not fundamentally new

Poetry, astounding poetry. We are in the age of iteration not innovation. It is why tech has stalled and is failing in some ways. One reason I play these videos to VCs and founders. When I get done with them they know the difference.

There should be some evidence that this video was created back in 60's. It's easy now a days to create such videos assuming far back.
