Brian - when we stopped owning music it became disposable. I've argued we'll never have another Stones or Beatles. Much the same with other partial/fractional ownership - we abuse it and devalue it and eventually morally bankrupt it.

Phillip, Indeed. The lack of true investment into music has made it into over produced wall paper for most folks. This is not only heartbreaking but has deep impacts to society. Modern music has degraded to try to use very high compression and 808s to hypnotize.
