Rene, it seems that there may be an AirTag system in the case and each AirPod Pro device. I am testing this today with a spectrum analyzer. It may be a full U1 or a variation of what is found in the iPhone 11. I’ll let you know.

Unrelated question but an iPod shuffle inside the AirPod should be very useful. There is no technical limitation to do that right?. Forward, backward, skip etc are already there

Chandra, indeed! Great question. This is a very real possibility with the AirPod Pro. There may be enough memory to buffer a playlist to the charger and/or devices. There is a patent that addresses this. The issue may be one of device licensing. Each AirPod could count as an iPod

Jesse, indeed for the time being. But they will separate in to new platforms you may have both but at some point you would just have AirPods and the case on you as a “computer”.
