Brandon, thank you. That’s an interesting video. I disagree with the shape of the bonds defining the shape of the crystalline structure. When the they are manipulated via a field. This does not change the growth pattern. That was an old assumption.

Brandon, thanks for asking. Great question. If we manipulate the structure of the bonds during the crystal growth there are no changes observed. Thus we can conclude that the bonds do not define the final crystal structure.
