I’m not sure it is that astonishing tbh, a limited payment app versus an universal payment app isn’t that big a fight is it?

-
Leon, I hear ya. Starbucks was the most popular payment app in US history. It pays you to use it. Up till Apple Card you did not get paid to use it. This was the most successful Walter now Apple Pay is.

Think how much better it could do if retailers actually bothered upgrading their hardware!
-
Carolina, indeed! This was my journey with
@PayFinders. We helped ~63,000 merchants get upgraded to Apple Pay. We also directed millions of new customers. There were and still are many things Apple can do today to fix this. I hope they find the path.

Christopher, indeed. I hear ya. You know if you go back in time and see what some very smart folks in tech and banking were saying, this was not an assured success it was called the Ping of payments. Some have not erased the tweets and postings.

I still don’t understand why they don’t buy Clover and get it installed everywhere with a Square-like flat rate, no extra fee BS merchant account.

Mark, I hear ya. I was there and I tried to get folks to hear me. The disrupters were busy fixing their beard wax and the others thought they knew better. And thus trillions of dollars were lost or not realized.
