For folks with science bona fides. This is a real life specimen of operational room temperature quantum computing and quantum entanglement. This is irrefutable. A paper thin, no power or electronics needed—Quantum Computer, here and now and demonstrated. A Quantum Computer. https://twitter.com/BrianRoemmele/status/1186747980071628800 …

Can we get a “for dummies” explanation of this ? This company is only 40 minutes from my place ...exciting !

I would love to understand why you think metamaterials/invisibility = quantum computers. The 2 are not the same, quantum computers require coherent quantum states - yes. But they also need quantum gates, error correction etc. @BrianRoemmele

Thanks for asking. I need to write more about this hopefully soon. The first thing we need is entanglement, this does this by the fact it works. Second we need coherent states, this does this by the fact you see the coherent lights as images reproduced. The rest is interesting.

Yes agreed, but generating quantum states isn't the hard part. Creating gates like the hadamard gate, z gate, phase gate etc. all decrease coherence times and require high fidelity. Excited to see your take, but as someone who works with quantum computers I am nervous u are

underestimating what it takes to build one, and more importantly what it takes for something to qualify as doing universal quantum computations.

I understand and really appreciate your insights. I too work on a quantum computer at times at a university in Southern California. The error correction is quite high and holographic, we can see that in the demos. Gates in a fiber channel will have robust results, low decay.

How many qubits does it have? What are the gate fidelities on it do you know?Fibre =>linear optical photonic quantum computers which imply continuous variable based quantum states.Photons are weakly interacting and thus photonic qcs are hardest to make. Not bc of decoherence alone.

Thanks for asking. To be clear. This particular invention and material is not being used as a stand alone computer. The material is prima facie as a “single purpose” quantum computer system by the fact it works with no external power. The rest is being tested in other places.
