Wild idea: Streaming music massively accelerates productivity. But due to the economics of music, the increased productivity growth isn’t reflected in the numbers. Every knowledge worker I know listens to A TON of music. It makes me wayyyyy more productive. Seems significant.

Jared, thanks for asking. I have a substantial amount of research spanning quite a few decades on music and productivity. The most interesting studies are in my Muzak files I saved from dumpsters. The downside to music is lyrics, they actually remove productivity gains.
