I would take issue with one thing with your cycle time placement. 1890 was the beginning of a new 500 year cycle. The last time we saw such a cyclical time period was just before Gutenberg came on the scene and introduced the printing press.

I hear ya. A big shift but one that had some sort of telegraphing via cylinder seals. The abrupt idea of electrons moving in wires to do work.

Broadband internet came pretty close. The world when I was born is drastically different than the world today because of it. Only took 30 years for widespread adoption/availability. I think transportation is next.

Ben, indeed. Yet there was some warning of the internet to some with dialup and BBSs along with timeshare mainframe computers. To most the concept of electricity came out of nowhere with no context. This is the issue important to note. When the no context thing is abrupt.

Right now we are going through a crisis period not dissimilar to what happened after the printing press was introduced.But the renaissance period coming will be far larger and long lasting than what occurred after 1890. Even more so that after the intro of the computer the 1970s.
