Bret, great insights. I think this is part of the “Cold Winter” I parented at
@voicebotai in January. It is based on a confluence of things. All fixable. It just requires the empirical praxis and the will to act on it.1 reply 1 retweet 7 likes -

It's interesting we have two supply markets (platforms, content providers) and mostly one demand market today (consumers) which keeps on increasing. Platforms shifted to phase 2 of the market last fall in terms of strategy, but content providers remain stuck in phase 1.

Bret, exactly. Quite right. The thing that is hard for the folks building this is their experience in creating app stores and the idea of an app is profoundly limiting and as I predicted will met an end past the 500,000 skill mark. We are well on the way. To fix it throw it away.

Bret, thank you sir. I really appreciate it. I have come to know this is more important “Great ideas are more priceless then execution”. Indeed anyone can form an idea, and there is a contingent army that can execute good ideas. But the great ideas are rare. One conclusion...

Most folks do not live in the now or the future to any great degree. They view the now after it has past in the rearview mirror. The concept of an app is an idea from an old epoch. This is true for smartphones it is more true for
#VoiceFirst. Thus it must be abandoned.1 reply 2 retweets 6 likes
Bret, yes this will sound complicated to the folks that cling to the old paradigm. Yet the liberation ahead will allow for developers to actually earn a living building around #VoiceFirst and that is just one artifact. Today this is rare and that means it ends at some point.
