Cryptochromes allow birds to recall and navigate to exact locations. Cryptochromes allow monarch butterflies to travel 1000s of miles to land back on the same branch and leaves they were born. How? Once we fully understand Cryptochromes in all living things—it’s a “mystery”.https://twitter.com/BrianRoemmele/status/1175868524587147264 …
Indeed. This is quite a great and interesting question. Part of this but not nearly all is related to the very rapid movement of magnetic north. So much so some airports have to rename runways and rest beacons. There is quite a lot to this.

This increased "electrosmog" also can have an affect on human behavior as even electromagnetic field fluctuations as small as one Nano Amp can affect human brain wave patterns and subsequent mood fluctuations.

There is growing evidence to suggest that the global ubiquity of cell phones and the electromagnetic frequencies they emit may be at least partially responsible for these negative affects on wildlife as this article suggests:https://www.salon.com/2018/07/13/our-cellphone-addiction-is-turning-wireless-tech-into-an-invisible-weapon-that-is-destroying-wildlife_partner/ …

Couple this increase in electrosmog with the fact that the position of magnetic north has indeed been fluctuating over the last couple of decades may be setting up an "electromagnetic" perfect storm that we are not the least bit prepared for...https://www.thunderbolts.info/wp/2011/09/06/polar-wondering/ …
