CDs are not a reliable long-term storage media.
Today we are making the same invalid assumptions about cloud storage media.
Holographic Crystal Memory half-life is ~32,000 years.

Boye, thank you! And thanks for asking. This is a bit arbitrary based on the elements that comprise a typical crystal memory. There is a half-life to the process. It is likely to be over 100000 years in outside conditions but I err conservatively.
