Alan, thanks for asking! Lots of research that never gets to the tech world. There is a great deal of experiments confirming the 1/2 delay to consciousness. The Libet's delay is a good starting point:https://www.oxfordreference.com/view/10.1093/oi/authority.20110803100104529 …

That is eye opening. I did not know this. If humans are all .5 a second behind reality, are there any other species for which this delay is smaller or larger? This really makes me wonder about cases such as random, very fast paced occurrences/accidents.

Michael, indeed. It is transforming once it is fully understood. The next question is what do we really call what is acting on our behalf? It seems that this delay is observed in all animals and perhaps insects. There is an entirety in that 1/2 second in many ways.

Cool, but it would have been more interesting if the subconscious convinced you a half second before it really happened.

Ryan, thank you indeed. This is in fact another way to see it. Either way it is a massive discovery with implications that have yet to be fully understood.

How does the heart based stimulus response research fit into this picture of "consciousness delay?" https://www.heartmath.org/research/science-of-the-heart/intuition-research/ …pic.twitter.com/vKLk1wcaRA

John, great question! Complex to answer here. However I do much with this research. Much of it is precognition and retocausality. All tied to 1/2 delay and other things.

If everyone is on a delay, does reality truly happen 1/2 second before? Or do exogenous events simply occur more quickly than all beings realize? Though I know you try to separate such facts from implications of simulation hypo, its hard for me to otherwise put them into context.

I know this fact is a necessary condition for differentiating
#voicefirst from alternative mind technologies, however. Just so interesting, Brian. You are the best of twitter - 1 more reply
