iOS 13.1 brings back full support for conversational shortcuts. This means that shortcuts with Choose from Menu, Choose from List, Ask for Input, and Dictate Text will be fully interactive inside Siri. No need to open the Shortcuts app at all.pic.twitter.com/LEm64CrEDR

“Shortcut says” is such a turn off. I want to have a conversation with Siri to help me get things done not having a conversation with the thing that’s doing it.

100% this. Shortcuts should be completely invisible, unnoticed by users. That can be a tough sell to developers, who naturally take pride in users seeing and appreciating all their hard work, but eliminating such ego from software is a key step toward making it a great USER tool.

So very true! Indeed this is the end of software as we know it. Everything will deconstruct to intents and work-to-be-done. Over the decades I have presented this, when folks in tech get it, they usually get quite worried as all business models are impacted by this shift.
