Bret, indeed. Yet there will a head forth rush to implant brains with the illusion of vast “information” flooding in. It is a fundamental misunderstanding of human consciousness and awareness and the outcome is sort of dismal if taken at face value.

I would wonder how "ethics" is developing along with these technologies...particularly in privacy.

Julie, indeed! This is a great question. There are no ethical guidelines and no understanding of cause and effect. It is just one of those things that “sound cool” so why not implant a probe in your brain, what could go wrong. We live in interesting times.
