If I recall correctly, he wasn’t just *an* investor, he was the biggest. I think his money kept NeXT afloat. There might’ve been no Apple 2.0 without Perot.
Yep. And the *first* investor, I think? Also note that Perot Systems eventually sold to Dell. He shut it down and gave the money back to the shareholders, in a way ;)

Folks, Indeed. Ross was so taken by Steve and his vision he made a comment during this lunch casually to “give Steve $20 million”. They begin a great friendship and Ross was very protective of Steve, a father figure who did not want him back at Apple...https://twitter.com/brianroemmele/status/1148602924991430657?s=21 …

I’ve been fascinated by the Edwin Land-Jobs relationship for years, and this one is equally intriguing for a whole different set of reasons.
Harry, indeed! Steve credited Ross for so many things in his life, one was to mature him as a manager. Ross saw Steve as a person that was mistreated and misunderstood by Apple. Called him one of the most brilliant people he met and went on to say this at the national press club:pic.twitter.com/0i1peRAzOw
