If I recall correctly, he wasn’t just *an* investor, he was the biggest. I think his money kept NeXT afloat. There might’ve been no Apple 2.0 without Perot.
Yep. And the *first* investor, I think? Also note that Perot Systems eventually sold to Dell. He shut it down and gave the money back to the shareholders, in a way ;)

M.G. Yes. This was Ross’s divestment phase. That “deep sucking sound” he heard also made him leave most of his business investments and responsibilities behind. Steve supported the move apparently very reluctantly. They remained in close contact over the years.
