David, great question! There is no competition everyone gets something mining. I have still have what are not $20 miners that have not turned off since 2014. One miner may produce what appears to be pennies. By the time Moore’s Law plays out, it can be $1000s of dollars.

OK, it may be my ignorance, but I though the most powerful machines has much more chances of mining a Bitcoin. Can you still have a chance to mine “pennies” of a Bitcoin with non-pro equipment then?

David, indeed folks do it all day long in mining pools. It is why I speak up so much.
