“Bitcoin will be worth far more than $1 by 2020 because unlike other alternative currencies, Bitcoin is democratic and egalitarian where anyone who takes some time, can mine it. If you can not mine it—it will never grow in value against inflation”—Brian Roemmele, 2011

Brian, I’m interested in your 🔮 concerning the future of cryptocurrency in general and its reluctance to dissapear amid widespread non-adoption/belief by many financial institutions and big thought leaders in the field. Have we witnessed it’s inflection point yet (to the top)?

Joseph, thanks for asking. I see Bitcoin more as a anchor point of human work product. Bitcoin does not really go up or down. The values of currency around Bitcoin is what is moving. This is the first time in history the average person had access to this knowledge and can act.

Thx Brian - Curious, won't mining conclude when 21 M bitcoins are made? Also, why would people use the currency knowing it would increase in value? I would think most ppl will hoard, limiting the utility. thx

Thanks for asking. I wrote about this back in 2014 “On a fine spring morning on May 1st, 2140 at 10:02 am the last Bitcoin will be mined”. As for currency Bitcoin is not designed to be a currency it is a perseveration of value compared to currency. https://www.quora.com/Once-all-Bitcoins-are-mined-who-will-confirm-transactions-and-inform-the-rest-of-the-network-that-transactions-have-taken-place/answer/Brian-Roemmele?ch=10&share=53e14bed&srid=Pi3 …
