It works in sci-fi movies so why not in the real world! Physics and usability be damned

Steven, indeed. It all looks like Si-Fi until it happens. The history of true shifts in the paradigm shows there is a rejection of the shift all the way up to the point of inception and at this point the shift appears inevitable even if it was rejected just days earlier...

The fold solves the absurdity of large phones I used to joke about holding an iPad mini to your head and we are practically there

Those are all great points gents. Perhaps what I’m more thinking is between arrival of wearables and much of the
#VoiceFirst that Brian often smartly talks about, is there actually room/need/engineering time to nail down such a product before a systematic shift happens?1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -

Sohrab, thank you! This moment is upon us. The shift begins with the deconstruction of data from the source and the deconstruction of App to intents of goals or work to be done. This is the paradigm shift,
#VoiceFirst will lead it. What I said in 1989:https://twitter.com/BrianRoemmele/status/1120400886667337736 …Brian Roemmele added,

We will move past the ideas of installing software and even the concept of an operating system”—1989 Brian Roemmele#VoiceFirst always. https://twitter.com/BrianRoemmele/status/1120399509866123265 …1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -
That’s exactly my point - larger and larger screens are there to convey specific data sets to us but what happens to our need for a real estate space when I’m walking with my Apple Watch, AirPods, and say AR glasses, all with Siri? Suddenly, maybe a foldable screen is too much

Sohtab, Yes! This is it precisely. The data on the screen becomes meaningless ultimately. It is the point of insight or wisdom we all seek. This seems a lofty goal but comes about with very deep context. The foldable screen still makes sense mid-term as a confirmation system.
