I agree. Also, from several recent interviews, it’s more accurate to say that @jack plans to give the ABILITY to follow topics, thereby allowing multiple points of view that we would not get without following many more individuals on different sides of a topic

Now that would actually be appealing. If it’s more about connecting curious people to the ppl attuned to what they’re interested in, that makes a lot of sense. Twitter appreciates in value as you curate your timeline, & this would help people getting started find good follows.

For example
@jack -@BrianRoemmele has vast expertise & innovative ideas across multiple areas. I want to experience his thought process often layered wide & deep. Be#peoplefirst - not topic centric-pls don’t change this great dynamic of@twitter - but yes to an edit button!

I think having an added option to follow topics is not a bad thing. And would not? take away from users who prefers to follow people. I personally welcome the change as following closely to topics is one of the ways I use to discover interesting people (like you Brian).

! I don’t want topics, I’m enamored by people, ideas & thoughts. I want to learn, engage & be entertained by a wide swath of people globally. A person may discuss college football one moment then tech to a new restaurant in NYC to try...
