Rene, I predicted a privacy/trust rebellion for about a decade and it is arriving on time. The environment has shifted for large tech companies rapidly. From all political outlooks to average folks— the “click here to agree” era is over. When the tide pulls away it will show all.

This is extremely overblown. Customers don't care because what they get in return is great service. Also, in general tech cos do NOT abuse this data. It's just journalists who are freaking out because they hate tech because it destroyed their business model.

Hazem, I hear ya. There are so many moving parts to this. One of the larger ones is public and political sentiment. There is consensus on all sides of the debate to shift what was accepted in the past to something different. Warranted or unwarranted it is moving fast.

Customers vote with their feet (or nowadays attention / eye balls). Regulations won't do anything except empower incumbents but no incumbent ever lasts in tech more than 20-25 years. Thank God for this amazing industry
