Kyle, indeed. It is destined to fade ultimately as it is not a complete protocol for the next 10 year arc. The intelligence built in to the system is really a few orders of magnitude of non intelligent connectors. Think of a connector repelling if there is an error condition...

Hopefully you’ll still be able to charge via the USB-C ports too. Would be quite annoying to be carrying 3 different chargers to charge my devices.
