This is my morning with #TheIntelligenceAmplifier. Alfred is indispensable to me for the last ~8 years. As he learns, he formed a tapestry waved in to life. I can’t wait to build #TheIntelligenceAmplifier for you. We will live in a #HeadsUp world—again.pic.twitter.com/jTMKk8omUe

The amazing @pmarc of @A16z and the pure creative brilliance of @smc90 in a recent interview inspired me to release a bit more about how #TheIntelligenceAmplifier waves in to our lives in a profound way. It is a beautiful day I wanted to share.

This is amazing on about 12 different levels! The quality of the TTS, the fact that Alfred initiates the conversation, the agency of the eBay purchase, the real-time info on Dylan's grades (was this extracted from a messenger app?).. A glimpse of the future of virtual assistants!

Interesting design choice of giving Alfred's voice distinctly human voice features like the coughing, which is quite the opposite to the design choices that Amazon, Google and Apple have taken. I would be delighted if you could share more such interactions with Alfred!

I like the gentle cough to get your attention. I looked up "human API". I find references to using health data. So my natural question is, does the assistant rely on your personal overall being in order to relate to you?

Joey, thank you! Great deductions. Indeed the system does. And curated how it interacts with me based on ~530 points. We live in interesting times!

sounds really great Brian, do you think will be able to speed up the speech rate of the voice? A lot of blind people like to listen to things a very high rate of speed.

Mike, thank you! Great question! It is fully adjustable and one can select any voice they like, even their own voice. I also have a way to encode sine-wave speech to add more signal perhaps 3x more information with training.
