It is astounding to me on some level that I was just able to download the BASIC program transmitted from this 1981 BBC broadcast and run it! In this era >80% of software was hand entered. This was one idea about software discovery and distribution. It was ahead of its the time.https://twitter.com/BrianRoemmele/status/1107446821767401473 …

1) I somehow miss the Simplicity, when technology was easier to understand. Nowadays technology is based on so many layers of previous technology that this Complexity is unbearable for a single humand brain.

2) This kind of kills the Renaissance ideal of Man (i.e Da Vinci wholeness as creator, etc...). You are a “rara avis” from this perspective Brian! Now you need an interdisciplinary team... and usually people with high IQ have low emotional/social IQ => Difficult team building.

David, wow thank you! I really appreciate it. You know it is like driving a car in the dark, the headlights give me a few 100 feet. But I know I the destination is ahead. Just have to trust in the headlights showing me the way in the darkness.

Well, you deserve compliment since you are not just a voice first tech evangelist, you are truly interested in the “broad picture” that trascends. I love how you interweave different disciplines (neurology, psychology, history, antropology, music, etc..) in your research. Kudos!
