I believe ads will have to make their way into #VoiceFirst world, but they have to be non invasive and not in your face. Intent driven advertising will go much longer way...
This example is definitely not the way @alexa99

I actually think this is a fun reply to silly question to Alexa - and fair game for ad integration. The notion that a reference to
#Fortnite could be corrupting to young children (possibly violative of#COPPA) should be corrected with age permissions@BrianRoemmele#VoiceFirst2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -
Glen, I hear ya. The thing is in an open room there is no current way for Alexa to know the age of the listeners. Additionally once the responses are no longer “pure” psychologically the user will lose trust and authority. Few will tolerate even an ad sentence inserted long.

Brian, wondering about device set up initialization in which the consumer opts in or out of age 13+ content (Would be incumbent upon content providers to rate their own content for age appropriateness - eg, no violence, etc. - bright lines.) Shifts responsibility to the parent.

Glen, great point. There is no implicit opt for 13+ content. There is an implicit opt in for 13- content. That said it isn’t the fundamental issue. It is of authority and trust. Alexa must build this in order to be useful. If you insert concepts that violate this you lose it all.
