Hah! The killer voice apps are already here. Now we need to add more value with 3rd party apps "Smart Speaker Owners Agree That Questions, Music, and Weather are Killer Apps. Xlnt point about voice being more than one thing. As people become more comfortable with the voice ui, I think requests for other long forms of entertainment and information, like news, sports and podcasts, will increase. The ux for reaching those via voice saves so many steps.

Agree, but it's a weakness that one has to first discover the apps they need. IMO
#VoiceFirst has to move away from an app-based UX to achieve full potential.2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

Agree. I see
#voicefirst as more naturally following a site or node model. Every person, every topic shoud have a#voicefirst presence.1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -

Discovery is def a big problem, although I don't know that everything being indexed on voice will solve it, because search on voice isn't great for discovery. I think it will still be similar to marketing films and podcasts. Discovery will likely happen in a different channel.

Agree w/
@BrianRoemmele who said on another thread "we have the tech to do this sort of Jobs To Be Done deconstruction of#VoiceFirst apps today on all platforms." Big improvement which does not preclude brands from driving custs to themselves via voice.@Oaktree_Dave@kbprescott1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

@BrianRoemmele, can you make this happen sooner rather than later?1 reply 0 retweets 5 likes
Doug, thanks for asking. I have a very detailed plan on how all the parts can connect. None of it is a technical challenge. It is a challenge of will and vision. The App Store and download/invoke model is significantly flawed and will help cause a “cold winter” for #VoiceFirst.

Doug, thank you! Indeed if I must. I would rather build it and help shape it than write about it.
