Had a talk with amazing folks last night. Consensus was me to tweet this:
There are 9 companies and 177 people in #VoiceFirst that:
-If Apple acquired they would lead #VoiceFirst
-If Google acquired they would easily pass Amazon
-If Amazon acquired, no one would ever catch up

Rather bold claim. I disagree though. Technological advances are overrated. From a tech perspective, the big three (and others) have virtually the same capabilities and always will since it’s easy for them to copy. What matters more is goto market and integration strategy

Also you didn’t name the companies. I’d be surprised if all nine did not want you to name them, since at an early stage PR is desperately needed for startups

Marcus, I hear ya. You know it’s not about the companies or people that would be amazing to put in one group. It is about why this information, like any information you may find valuable should be given away free to multi billion dollar companies.

Well if they’re in “stealth mode” then fair enough. Otherwise, I think the implicit assumption is that they’re happy for people to discuss them publicly and it could well benefit them. It would also give a little more substance to your statement.

Markus, I understand. The work product of this took a great deal of time and effort. Those companies know who they are. Many know they are on the list. As for substance, my CV is all of my work on Quora, Forbes and Twitter one can judge by what I said, when I said it accuracy.
