I have had to explain to some of the smartest people I know: “Apple Services” everywhere for “revenue” is severely flawed concept. Apple Music on Echo devices does not and will not earn Apple revenue. They do it to keep their iPhone users happy buying Apple Music and other content. If not, they may go to Spotify or Amazon. Apple doesn't really compete with the $50-150 Echos nor do they sell TVs.

Daniel, Indeed fully agree. Yet in this case Apple is fully promoting another platform that they will ultimately have to compete with. This is the reality of the situation so why give aid to another
#VoiceFirst platform? It is a short term win for a long term loss.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

We have seen this in history before and it won't go away. For example:
#Toysrus &#Amazon: in 2000 they agreed to stock a wide variety of its most popular toys on Amazon http://ToysRUs.com redirecting back to Amazon Short term win for a long term loss.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
Gurvinder, indeed. Also Target. Both companies at their peak and they assumed, quite wrongly they saw the cuter better than Amazon. I am certain this is the case in this situation and thus far since 2008 business history has confirmed this. It does not have to be this way.
